Author: Brian Swartzfager (All RIAForge projects by this author) Description:
Distractions are the bane of productivity, but the modern IT work environment is full of them: e-mail, IM, Twitter, you name it. New time management techniques, such as the Pomodoro Technique (http://www.pomodorotechnique.com), advocate turning off/blocking all distractions and focusing solely on one particular task for a set amount of time.
focusTimer is a very simple countdown timer to help you set aside time to focus. The default amount of time is the 25 minute timeframe advocated by the Pomodoro Technique but you can adjust it manually. The focusTimer window is small so you can move it out of your way and focus on the rest of your screen. Once the countdown starts, you can opt to hide the clock so you don't keep glancing at it, and if there's an interruption you absolutely cannot ignore, you can either pause the countdown or cancel it. The screenshots pretty much sum up the functionality; check those out if you want to know more. Issue Tracker: There are no issues for this project.
